Susan Boyle is to perform on `Dancing with the Stars`
The Scottish singing sensation is scheduled to appear on the live show today (05.10.10), according to gossip website TMZ.com.
According to reports she will sing a rendition of Leonard Cohen`s `Hallelujah` - which has famously been covered by a host of artists including Jeff Buckley, k.d. Lang and Alexandra Burke - on the ballroom dancing competition.
Susan`s appearance on `Dancing with the Stars` comes in the wake of her cancelled performance on `America`s Got Talent`.
The 49-year-old star - who shot to fame on UK talent show `Britain`s Got Talent` - was due to sing a version of Lou Reed`s track `Perfect Day` with a 100-piece children`s choir on September 9 but the performance was axed at the last minute because the rights to the song weren`t cleared in time for US audiences.
Susan was left with just two hours to rehearse a new song but decided it wasn`t enough time and told organisers she wouldn`t be taking to the stage.
A source said at the time: "Susan was really upset. She was in tears and was forced to pull out of the show, and decided to return to the UK."
Susan`s scheduled appearance on `Dancing with the Stars` will be her second performance on the series. Last year, she sang her signature track `I Dreamed a Dream`, from the musical `Les Miserables`.
